This one is the title track 'Turn Up the Heat' by Top Cat which started life as a remake the Bam Bam riddim on the Star Trail label (See Beres Hammond - Roadblock). I originally made this riddim because the original LP I bought had no instrumental version and I just wanted something to play for vocalists in DJ sets

Mr Williamz was a great fit for the tune, and came in with the hook 'Never hear a sound like this before' which fit well with the Reggae Roast Soundsystem vibe! The video shoot was great fun - it was shot under a bridge along the Hackney canal and marks the first time I've played a DJ set from the back of an ice cream van!

We've always been massive fans of Earl 16, from his days at Studio 1 to his work in the UK Roots world in the 90's, right up to the modern day. We've been fortunate to work with him on a number of occasions, both in the live environment and also in the Studio and it is always an honour and a privilege. Earl still sounds fantastic and exactly the same as he does on a record!
