READ: Cancard officially launched in the U.K.
You can receive a Cancard if you have any of the a list of ailments at the bottom of the page.
There is a process that you need to go through in order to qualify for your CANCARD. The patient must have a diagnosis from their GP that is being prescribed privately, have tried two different forms of medication or have discussed and discounted with their GP these options due to unwanted side effects or dependence concerns, are unable to afford a private prescription, are required to possess a small amount of cannabis to manage their symptoms, and are at risk of criminalisation.
To start the process there is a short sign up process that takes about 10 minutes. For this you will need your passport, NHS number and a medical report or your doctors contact details so that they can confirm your condition.
We believe the more people to sign up to the scheme the better as reduced the risk of prosecution as well as helping to build the momentum for the campaign to legalise cannabis.
