Reggae Roast returns to The Jazz Cafe for a special live concert from UK reggae star Gappy Ranks. This exciting show follows a series of sold out events at The Jazz Cafe, with Reggae Roast playing host to legends such as; The Wailers, Sly & Robbie & Collie Buddz. This is set to be another epic night, showcasing premium british reggae at one of London’s best loved live music venues.

Gappy Ranks was born and grown in Harlesden NW10 of a Jamaican father and a Dominican mother. A good combination like Rice & Peas.

In 2010 the release of his eagerly awaited Greensleeves album “Put The Stereo On” ups the ante to another level. This year the UK Dancehall star is back with a second LP entitled “ Thanks & Praise “ (released June 6th). Gappy is also proving to be one of the most popular live draws on the new international reggae/dancehall scene, headlining shows across Europe, Asia & the USA. Gappy also performed on Jools Holland’s Later show (BBC2), the biggest Musical TV show in the UK.

Also playing on the night will be founders of Reggae Roast Exel & Moodie, hosted by Ramon Judah. Expect to hear the freshest selection of classic revival, dub, steppers & dubstep, as well as forthcoming offerings from the Reggae Roast Records label, including the forthcoming ‘Sensi Skank’ EP.
